  • APPLICATION DATE: August 2002
  • PROBLEM: Original caulking material had failed creating an environmental seepage hazard.

  • PROBLEM: The rubber type seal between the brick wall and walkway surrounding the digester tank had broken down allowing water to seep below into an electrical room.

  • PROBLEM: Customer had installed a new steel partition wall to divert sewerage away from one of the original storage areas. Once partition was installed they had difficulty in sealing the new installation to the original concrete walls which tapered from top to bottom and were not perpendicular.

  • BELZONA FACTS: The use of the two Belzona products allowed the plant to resurface the walls and ensure a good sealing surface for the new gates. The wall was also not vertical with a gap varying from ¼ inch at the top to 1 ½ inches at the bottom. The use of Belzona 4141 enabled the entire area to be rebuilt in the minimum amount of time.

  • PROBLEM: Intake cone on this raw sewage pump had eroded badly from entrained grit, and the auger would no longer draw properly due to excessive clearance.

  • CUSTOMER: Wastewater treatment facility - Vancouver, Canada.
  • APPLICATION DATE: 1989
  • APPLICATION SITUATION: Large six foot diameter centrifugal pumps.
  • PROBLEM: Pumps were suffering from severe erosion around the volute. It was difficult to remove the unit for repair due to its size and location.
